List of Primary Base Oils

Choose one of these oils as the primary base oil:

  • Almond is a thick and smooth base oil, but some people are allergic to almonds
  • Olive is also a thick and smooth oil, a better alternative for allergy sufferers
  • Grapeseed is a thinner oil and also can be a good allergy alternative
  • Sunflower oil is a thinner oil that blends well with a secondary base oil, ideal for all

List of Secondary Base Oils

Choose one of these oils as the secondary base oil if required:

  • Sesame is a strong nutty scented oil with a very smooth consistency
  • Avocado is mostly unscented and provides a slightly thicker and smoother oil base, sometimes with a hint of green
  • Peach is mostly unscented with a medium consistency
  • Raspberry Seed is a slightly scented normal thickness oil base
  • Wild Rose is strongly scented and blends well with other essential oils, as rose does
  • Calendula is sunflower oil with pressed marigolds, producing a hint of orange in the oil; lovely for babies
