Advanced Infant Massage Course
Details
This course is designed to run for up
to 60 mins per session, depending on the age and
attention span of infants, and will allow you time to
practice and consolidate your techniques between
sessions. The class follows on from the Beginner's
Infant Massage course and builds on the techniques
already learned.
Session 1:
Arms and Hands, Legs and Feet – Recap of what we know
and adding the new techniques into the arms and legs
routine.
Session 2:
Chest and Abdomen, Back – Recap the new arms and hands,
legs and feet routine, continuing with chest and
abdomen, and back routines.
Session 3:
Face – Starting with face routine. Putting the whole
treatment together! Recap new arms and hands, legs and
feet, chest and abdomen, and back routine with a verbal
recap of the moves with the group. The course completes
with a nice bedtime routine ideal for all children who
find it difficult to settle at night-time. Open Q&A
discussion to complete the course.
The course is designed for all
parents, soon-to-be parents, primary carers, or other
important people in the infant’s life such as
grandparents. The course can be run for the following
groups (or combination of):
- Expectant mothers
(with baby-sized dolls)
- 6 weeks ~ 18 month
olds
- 18 months ~
preschool age
- primary school
children
- secondary school
children - one to one sessions only
Group classes are available subject
to advance deposit and finding a suitable venue for up
to 8 parents with infants up to primary school age, OR
one to one sessions can be arranged privately.
On the course you need to bring:
- Your infant
- Your folder, to
add to the notes from the previous
course
- A pen to make
notes on the handouts provided
- Appropriate oil or
cream for the infant massage
- A cushion for
yourself to sit on, (if required)
- 1 soft towel for
your infant to lie on for the treatment,
(which will take place on the floor)
- A spare nappy (if
removing the existing one for the
treatment)
- A small toy or
item e.g. muslin that your infant
particularly connects with

The Advanced
Infant Massage training builds on the Beginners routine to
form a more Advanced routine, but can be
attended by mums who have already completed any
Beginner's Infant Massage course. The course
also includes a bedtime routine for infants who cannot
settle to sleep. A
certificate of attendance will be issued,
allowing the parent to massage their infant
using the techniques they have learned until the
child turns 16!
On the course you will receive:
- 3 sessions of
intensive practical training, building
on the routine learned in the infant
massage course
- Consolidation of
the new routine learned from previous
sessions
- My contact details
for any queries during the duration of
the course
- Q&A session to
complete the course
